Since March 2003, Raytheon Australia has managed the CDSCC on behalf of the CSIRO and NASA. Raytheon manages the site staff who are responsible 24 hours, 7 days a week for the support of all the CDSCC communications systems, engineering, maintenance services, and ancillary support.

Raytheon Company supports scientific and exploration endeavours around the world. Associated with NASA since the 1970s, they deliver a diverse range of services from integrated logistics support through to aeronautical manufacturing and repair.

Raytheon Company with Oceaneering International provides real-time mission support for two human space flight training facilities at the Johnson Space Centre. Raytheon support includes procedure development and verification, workload limitations, hardware design and validation as well as operation, maintenance and sustaining engineering.

The Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory supports astronaut training for space walks using underwater mockups and pressurised suits to simulate weightlessness. Full-scale mockups in the Space Vehicle Mockup Facility are used to train astronauts for space flight.

From 1998, Raytheon has worked with NASA under a 15-year contract to develop, operate, and maintain its Science Data Systems Implementation and Operations at JPL.
