Visitor Centre Update

1 February 2025

Visitor Centre is open to the public

Our visitors’ centre at the Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex (CDSCC) has reopened to drop-in visitors. There is no need to book. From the 1st February 2025, the Centre will be open Saturday and Sunday only, from 10am to 4pm.

Please note that the Visitor Centre's opening hours will vary throughout the year. We plan to open at the peak times that most visitors want to come, specifically weekends and during the ACT school holiday periods.

Please continue to refer to our website, social media channels and our Google business pages for the latest updates.

Cafe and Giftshop Closed

Unfortunately, the Deep Space Cafe and Giftshop will not be open at this time. We are currently looking at options for a new operator for this separate business. You are welcome to bring your own refreshments to eat in our outdoor areas.

School Bookings

We continue to deliver education programs for school excursions from all over the country. Over 10,000 students and teachers visited in the past year. These programs are run Monday to Friday during the ACT school terms only, February to November.

More information on booking scheduled school excursion visits here.

Group Bookings

We continue to accept bookings for groups from clubs and associations. These programs are run Monday to Friday. We do not run programs on weekends. Booking availability may be limited during the ACT school holiday periods.
